On The Trail of the Lonesome Pine Mountain Devil

In Lone Pine, California, I had a run in with the local cryptids. I usually don’t give a winged-monkey-raptor about wildlife; I’m more than happy to just leave them well alone. But when they’re trying to eat my face off I get a little irate. Thankfully we were able to lower the population count without resorting to Caladmae’r.

Like I said they were winged-monkey-raptor things.

Picture a winged monkey, only scaly, not feathery or furry. Perhaps a little larger than turkey. Only jumping from tree to tree like monkeys and using their four leathery wings to glide. Like mythological imps, small dragons or bat-like microraptors.
